To date, 783 affordable-housing initiatives have been approved for funding through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston's Affordable Housing Program (AHP). In 2008, the Bank allocated $22.2 million in grants and subsidies for advances, or loans, to support affordable housing.

Since the program's inception in 1990, the Bank has committed more than $300 million to fund nearly 21,000 units of affordable-housing in the region.
