The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston's New England Smart Growth Symposium was a great success! The symposium brought together leaders in land-use planning and finance to discuss current and proposed policies to manage growth and to focus on the key sectors and issues that impact development.

Representatives from each New England state highlighted the smart-growth activity and needs in their respective states and discussed six policy issues. You can view many of the speakers' presentations online.

The symposium was held on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, in Boston. Over 100 people attended, including representatives from each of the six New England states, Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston staff, members of the Bank's board, and Advisory Council members.
