Richard Moran

As vice president and relationship manager, Rich works closely with members in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and parts of Massachusetts to understand their funding, liquidity, and balance sheet management needs. Drawing on nearly two decades of experience across the financial services industry and the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLBank) System, Richard helps members identify strategies and solutions that support their business objectives.

Prior to joining us in 2026, Rich served as vice president and director of institutional sales at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. In that role, he led relationship management and business development efforts with a diverse group of financial institution members, providing guidance on funding strategies, liquidity management, and capital markets solutions.

Rich is no stranger to FHLBank Boston, having held financial strategist and account manager roles here from January 2014 through March 2020. In those roles, he partnered with members across New England, providing market insights and strategic guidance to help them navigate shifting economic and interest-rate conditions.

Before his work within the FHLBank System, Rich served as a portfolio analyst at Timber Creek Capital Management and as a financial analyst in securities valuation at Deutsche Bank. He began his career through investment and accounting internships at Fidelity Investments and Highfields Capital, building a strong foundation in investment management, valuation, and financial analysis.

Rich considers New England home and is happy to be back. He enjoys a good round of golf and is eager to introduce his wife and two daughters to the Boston region’s rich history, natural beauty, and charm.
