With extensive experience in the financial services industry, Tim assumed the role of president and chief executive officer of FHLBank Boston on December 1, 2021.

He joined us as senior vice president and treasurer in 2010 and was promoted to executive vice president in 2019. As treasurer, Tim was responsible for the overall management of our balance sheet and oversaw areas that include member product pricing, investments, debt issuance, liquidity, hedging, and market-risk management.

Throughout his career with us, Tim has served on various FHLBank Boston committees, providing invaluable guidance by leveraging his expertise, insight, and collaborative approach. He has served as a member of the Management Committee, ALCO, Bank Technology Governance Committee, Business Committee, Thrift BEP Investment Committee, and Credit Committee. He has also served on the FHLBank System’s financial officers’ group and the Mortgage Partnership Finance® Governing Council.

Prior to joining us, Tim was assistant treasurer at FMR LLC, a Boston-based multinational financial services corporation. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held executive positions at several New England banks including Shawmut Bank, FleetBoston Financial, and Investors Bank & Trust.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, Tim began his professional career as an investment manager with CitiBank. He earned an MBA in finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institution in Hartford, Connecticut, while serving as a portfolio manager at Connecticut National Bank/Shawmut Bank.

Tim regularly joins his colleagues for volunteer and fundraising efforts to support nonprofit organizations like HomeStart and the New England Center and Home for Veterans. He serves on the Advisory Council of Bridge Over Troubled Waters, a Boston-based organization that serves homeless and high-risk youth.

When he’s not immersed in meeting our members’ needs, Tim enjoys spending time with his family -- particularly his young grandkids -- playing competitive sports, and going to the beach.
