Kenneth Willis Joins FHLBank Boston’s Management Committee
FHLBank Boston is pleased to announce that Kenneth Willis, senior vice president, director of housing and community investment, has been promoted to the Bank’s management committee.

With 25 years of experience within New England’s affordable housing and community development industry, Willis oversees a team that administers FHLBank Boston’s housing and community investment programs.
Under his leadership, FHLBank Boston has developed new programs that promote homeownership, expand and improve affordable housing stock, and support small businesses and economic development throughout New England.

Throughout his career, Willis has been recognized for his leadership and commitment to affordable housing by local and regional organizations including Affordable Housing Education & Development Inc. in New Hampshire, which presented him with the Olivia Chase Beleau (OCB) Award.
Willis serves on the board of directors of the Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association, has been a mentor with the Mel King Institute Community Mentorship Program, and is part of the Boston Foundation’s Greater Boston Partnership to Close the Racial Wealth Gap.
He is also a member of YouthBuild Boston’s executive committee and the Builders of Color Coalition’s capital task force.
Willis first joined FHLBank Boston in 1998 as a housing and community investment representative, after having served as a Community Reinvestment Act loan officer for Bank of Boston for four years. Within eight years, he assumed the role of director of FHLBank Boston’s housing and community investment department and was promoted to senior vice president in 2020. He is a key liaison with FHLBank Boston’s Advisory Council and regulatory agencies as well as community partners focused on affordable housing.
