Keith Walsh

Keith Walsh assumed the role of senior vice president and general counsel in July 2022.

Known for his deep appreciation of the need to balance the focus on meeting our members’ needs while also fulfilling the requirements of our key stakeholders, Keith joined us in 2010 as a staff attorney, was soon promoted to assistant vice president, and was later named vice president, associate general counsel.

Over the years, Keith has exhibited an in-depth understanding of the evolving legal and competitive factors that affect our business and deftly provides us with well-reasoned counsel to help us achieve our goals.

As general counsel, Keith provides oversight and management of our legal department, vendor management program, and government relations function and advises our board of directors, officers, and employees regarding a wide range of legal, regulatory, and policy matters. Additionally, Keith serves as our corporate secretary and ethics officer.

Prior to leading our legal team, Keith was an attorney at Brown Rudnick’s Capital Markets division.

Keith earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and his law degree from Boston College Law School. While Keith may best be known for his legal acumen, his athleticism and altruism shine through when he participates in Tough Ruck Boston, jogging and hiking with a 35-pound backpack over a 26.2-mile course to honor fallen service members, police, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians and raise money to support their families.

​Around his hometown of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Keith is frequently referred to as “Coach Keith,” having spent many years coaching a number of youth sports in town. Keith, his wife, daughter and son enjoy traveling and aim to explore a new part of the world together each year.
