With extensive human resources experience across several industries, Brenda leads our human resources team and our inclusion and opportunity efforts.
Brenda joined us in 2013, leading talent acquisition, development, and management. Under her leadership, workforce development efforts at the Bank have been expanded beyond college and graduate-level internships to include high school students in partnership with the Boston Private Industry Council (PIC). She has also led efforts to engage middle schoolers attending Boston public schools, exposing them to careers in financial services.
As a career HR professional, Brenda is inspired by, and partners with, organizations that are focused on developing our future workforce. Among those organizations is Apprentice Learning, which promotes career exploration for middle school students attending Boston public schools where she has served on the board of directors since 2019 and served as board chair for three years.
She has also volunteered with the Massachusetts chapter of DECA, which works to prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in high school and college for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
Brenda graduated from Cornell University with a degree in industrial and labor relations and earned a master’s degree in management from Emmanuel College.
A native of Connecticut, she moved to Boston in 2001. When she’s not engaged in community activities or encouraging local employers to actively develop the next generation of talent, Brenda enjoys global traveling with her husband and two children.
