2026 Member Open House
FHLBank Boston hosted a Member Open House in May. The event gave FHLBank Boston Assistant Vice President, Relationship Manager Savvas Kalaitzidis an opportunity to explain the borrowing process to members who attended the event.
Ruth Lewin Griffin Place
FHLBank Boston’s board of directors, advisory council, and staff toured Ruth Lewin Griffin Place, a 64-unit workforce housing development in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, that was built using a subsidized advance and grant through FHLBank Boston’s Affordable Housing Program. Needham Bank, New Hampshire Housing, and the Portsmouth Housing Authority were instrumental in getting this development to the finish line.

The Women’s Lunch Place
A group of FHLBank Boston employees volunteered in the kitchen of The Women’s Lunch Place, a day shelter in Boston that offers nutritious meals, and healthcare and housing services to homeless women.
St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children
A group of FHLBank Boston employees rolled up their sleeves to set up an apartment for a formerly homeless family served by the transitional housing program of St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children in Boston.
Volunteering for Housing
FHLBank Boston’s Atul Deuskar, cloud infrastructure solutions architect, and Jason Uttam, senior application support analyst, assembled furniture while volunteering at St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children in Boston.
Housing Solutions
Liza Fleming-Ives, executive director of The Genesis Fund and a member of FHLBank Boston’s Advisory Council, spoke at the Expanding Investment in New England Communities forum hosted by FHLBank Boston in Portland, Maine. The event was designed to explore solutions for creating and preserving housing.
