Affordable Housing Program
The Affordable Housing Program provides funding for the creation and renovation of housing for households earning up to 80% of area median income. Members have until July 31, 2025 to complete the online application review.

Equity Builder Program
This first-time homebuyer assistance program enables members to help lower-income households with down-payment and closing-cost assistance grants. All FHLBank Boston programs are for members only. Homebuyers, Realtors, and attorneys cannot apply for this program and must contact a bank or credit union that is an FHLBank Boston member if they are interested.

Community Development Advance
Members use this discounted fixed-rated financing program to support affordable housing development, small business lending, and capital improvements.

Housing & Economic Development Programs
New CDFI Advance
Members can use this 0% interest rate advance to partner with non-depository certified Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to support affordable housing development, job creation, small business growth, and the expansion of community facilities in distressed New England communities.

Lift Up Homeownership
One of three homeownership assistance programs that FHLBank Boston offers, Lift Up Homeownership provides members with funding in support of down-payment and closing-cost assistance to first-generation homebuyers and people of color purchasing their first home. Homebuyers must have incomes up to or below 120% area median income to be eligible.
